Service Steady did not start as a software idea. It started inside a real service business — and a problem that had no good solution.
I run Detail Pros in Connecticut. Like a lot of owner-operators, I was doing the work, handling customers, moving from job to job, and trying to keep the schedule full while the phone kept ringing. Missed calls were turning into missed jobs — and there was no clean, practical system to close that gap without adding more chaos.
Some callers left a message. Most did not. Some called the next company on Google and booked there instead. I was losing jobs I never even knew I had a shot at — because I could not answer the phone while I was busy doing the work those jobs were paying me to do.
"I started looking for a solution. Everything I found was too complicated, too expensive, or built for a completely different kind of business. So I built one myself."
Once it worked in my own business, I turned it into a done-for-you service for other Connecticut service businesses dealing with the same problem. That is Service Steady.
These are not mission statement words. They are the decisions we make every day about how the system works and how we treat the businesses we serve.
Every feature, every decision, every part of the setup is measured against one question: does this make the owner's life simpler? If it adds complexity, it does not belong in Service Steady. There is enough complexity in running a service business. We are not here to add to it.
Done-for-you means done. We do not hand you software and a video tutorial and wish you luck. We meet in person, we set everything up, we make sure it works. If something needs adjusting, we handle it. Your job is to run your business. Our job is to run this.
If Service Steady is not the right fit for your operation, we will tell you that in the first conversation. We are not going to sell you something that does not make sense for where your business is. The goal is to work with businesses that will actually see results — and those are the only ones we want to sign.
Not enterprise companies. Not multi-location franchises. Owner-operated businesses where the owner or a small team is in the field doing the actual work — and the phone is the lifeline to the next job.
We work with businesses across Fairfield County, New Haven County, Hartford County, and the surrounding area. We meet in person and we set it up ourselves. That means we only work with businesses in Connecticut — and we think that matters.
Detail Pros is the auto detailing business I run in Connecticut. Every feature in Service Steady was tested there first — in a real operation, with real customers, under real conditions.
This matters because it means Service Steady is not theoretical. It is not built from market research. It is built from the actual experience of running a service business and knowing what works under pressure.
When something breaks or does not work the way we expect, we feel it in our own business before it touches yours.
We cover Fairfield, New Haven, and Hartford County. The first step is a straightforward conversation — no pitch, no pressure.
